Can there be a pillar in the hall?

There is a pillar in the living room near the main door. Is it ok if it is there?

Answer :

According to Vastu Shashtra the pillar situated in the hall is suitable. It is not harmful. Is there a bimb on the pillar and is it in the centre point of hall /room then it is not suitable but it is harmful . In your question the pillar is in your living room near the main door , so it is ok . If there is bimb on the pillar than bimb should be cover with plywood, coloured paper etc.
