Pooja shelf in utility.

Question

Can I have pooja shelf in utility area ( just adjacent to kitchen, separated by half wall) two shelves above the sink? Vastu Shashtra indicate us the pooja self should be in pooja room. If there is no pooja room in a flat/house then pooja place should be make on North East corner. Pooja self is not suitable on utility area. The sink is also use to wash utensils. 

If there is not any space of pooja then the West North corner of house pooja place or pooja self should be make there. 

The middle part of eastern side of house use to pooja places.
